The Barnabas Network
The Barnabas Pastoral Program offered young men and women an accelerated program of study, preparing them for the pastoral ministry field within around five years. As these students were pursuing their calling to ministry, it was crucial that they had access to every opportunity for discipleship, fellowship, and resources related to their studies and future pursuits in ministry.
To maximize each student's experience in the Barnabas Pastoral Program and prepare them for post-graduation endeavors, an online network called The Barnabas Network was established. The network connected current students, alumni, and pastors, empowering them through the exchange of experience and knowledge.
In contrast to the Grand Canyon University website and model, The Barnabas Network pursued a more professional design and voice that targeted young adults who were preparing to move from college to pastoral and ministry work. This network emphasized a relational experience among users, providing opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and engage with organizations and individuals who could support them with resources, job listings, and other tools.
Ultimately, the goal of The Barnabas Network was to equip students with a strong networking foundation centered around engagement with pastors and ministry leaders, thus preparing them for their entry into the ministry field.
